Sinfonica, maestosa, materiale e immateriale; sprofondata nella dimensione del sogno: la musica di Lorenzo Setti (musicista e compositore classe \’92 di base a Berlino) riproduce in suoni la complessa semplicità della natura e del cosmo.
Il 7 ottobre uscirà il suo primo LP, Little Floating Oracles: 7 tracce (anticipate dai tre singoli Oracles, Oneiros, e Adela) che esplorano i confini del dark ambient, dell\’elettronica e della musica classica sperimentale. Ispirate al concetto di fetus – percepito come incarnazione fisica dell\’essenza cosmica che contiene la conoscenza infinita – ATŌMI traduce in suono la bellezza e la potenza di questo presupposto, ricreando le atmosfere di una nuova vita in formazione.
Un viaggio denso attraverso i suoni che richiamano all\’esistenza, la cui parte visuale è stata disegnata da Akasha (Riccardo Franco-Loiri), artista visivo torinese che ha unito gli studi sull\’embriologia e gli aspetti scientifici alla conoscenza atavica per quanto riguarda l\’anima ultraterrena. Modellando tutti gli elementi principali dell\’opera attraverso realtà virtuale.
Perché ascoltarlo: per esplorare. Lasciare che la mente segui un percorso strano, diverso. Fino a paesaggi che esistono, ma non visitiamo mai perché troppo al di là del nostro corpo.
After the release of the well-acclaimed ATŌMI new album entitled “Little Floating Oracles” on Lady Blunt Records and the nomination as one of the 2022 best live performance by ADAF Greece, the artist announces the new audio visual live show, a visceral and emotional journey: sound design, music concrete, ambient techno and cinematic soundscapes morphing with embriogenesis and cosmic aesthetics, thanks to the visual contribution of the Turin based, 3D and visual artist Akasha (Riccardo Franco-Loiri).
The 7-tracks album by Berlin based producer and sound artist was inspired by the concept of fetus, perceived as a physical incarnation of the cosmic essence which embodies the endless knowledge of an Oracle. ATŌMI translates into sound the beauty and power of this assumption, recreating the atmospheres and going deeper into the various ancestral states of a new life in formation.
ATŌMI performs an audio deconstruction of a do-it-yourself kalimba, morphing the sound of a sheet metal played with bow, mallets and rattles, with androgynous vocals and sometimes dreamy sometimes scratchy synthesizers, giving life to suspended, tense and dense atmospheres aimed to completely redesign the album’s dynamics but enhancing its characteristic blending of aesthetics and moods. Akasha combined studies on embryology and scientificaspects with atavistic knowledge regarding the otherworldly soul, taking inspiration from the Upanishads, to literally give life to a piece of art that deepened its roots into a surreal environment in which symbolic forms and dynamism coexist.
He modeled all the main elements of the artwork in Virtual Reality, valuing gesture, fluidity, speed of execution and the infinite Possibilities of punctual intervention.
