Le proteste in Iran attraverso musica e graffiti

L\’8 di gennaio abbiamo sempre aperto la porta in segno di accoglienza e celebrato l\’amicizia tra il popolo italiano e quello iraniano all\’insegna dell\’ironia (e dei meme): https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=267425268816285
Quest\’anno, però, non sappiamo se Ascanio potrà entrare, vista la repressione del regime iraniano. Abbiamo, perciò, deciso di dedicare questa serata alle donne e ai giovani iraniani che lottano.

Presentazione del dipinto murale di Hogre e Doublewhy_y ispirato alle proteste iraniane.
Realizzato presso la fermata della metro B1 Conca d\’Oro con il sostegno di Lucha y Siesta e del III Municipio, il dipinto è frutto di un lungo lavoro di documentazione e rielabora foto delle proteste, slogan scanditi nelle strade, canzoni simbolo, pratiche rivoluzionarie realmente messe in atto, graffiti apparsi sui muri delle città iraniane e post sui social.
Di questo, ma anche del ruolo rivoluzionario dei graffiti e del rapporto tra arte e protesta, parleremo con Helia Hamedani, curatrice e storica dell\’arte iraniana.

On January the 8th we have always opened the door to welcome strangers, and celebrated friendship between Italian and Iranian people… always in the spirit of irony (and Internet memes): https://www.facebook.com/watch/?v=267425268816285
This year, though, we are not sure Ascanio will be able to come in, due to the Iranian regime\’s repression. So we decided to take this evening as a chance to honour Iranian women and young people who are struggling.
18.30 BARAYE AZADI / FOR FREEDOM
Presentation of the mural by Hogre and Doublewhy_y inspired by the Iranian protests.
Painted at the Conca d\’Oro B1 metro stop, with the support of Lucha y Siesta and III Municipio, the mural is the result of a huge research work, assembling and interpreting real pictures of the protests, slogans chanted in the streets, songs become symbols, actual revolutionary practices, graffiti appeared on the Iranian cities\’ walls, and social media posts.
We\’ll be talking about all the above, and about the revolutionary role of graffiti and the relationship between art and protest, together with Helia Hamedani, Iranian art curator and historian.
